Taking the 'Pane' out of having your windows cleaned

24 years ago, Office Care was founded by father and son David and Martin Booth, who started out with their ladders cleaning windows for local businesses in Derby.

Over time, not only has the company expanded its offerings to include window cleaning, quality commercial cleaning services and janitorial products to a range of businesses in the East Midlands, the technology they use to clean has advanced beyond recognition since 1988.

The image of cleaning windows with a bucket and ladder has been long removed, replaced with our first pure water reach and wash system in 2000. Office Care continually invests in new equipment to benefit both the clients and the safety of workers, this month we have upgraded our reach and wash system so the water is purer than ever and gives even better results. Our new economically friendly Volkswagen Transporter allows the system to be secured better making it safer to transport and it has much better green credentials on line with our ISO 14001 objectives.

The system itself is based on cleaning with ‘pure water’, that is without chemicals or cleaning agents. Water naturally contains all sorts of minerals and impurities that can leave your windows looking dirty so water is put through a de-mineralising process to remove all the impurities. The purified water is fed through a pole and a soft bristled brush so dirt is brushed and rinsed off with extremely pure water at the same time. Pure water is capable of absorbing these impurities and when applied to a dirty surface it lifts the dirt without the need for chemicals or cleaning agents.
